The Astrology Wheel Journey
Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, infused with reflexive energy, much like a newborn. This is where the journey begins. After a period of impulsivity, there's a clear need to dial back the go, go, go energy to make more thoughtful decisions that avoid risk. That's where Taurus comes and substitutes the drive to act with an abundance of caution. Taurus seeks stability, control, and to luxuriate in the material world. After some time, there's a build-up of restless energy that springs Gemini to life. This sign shifts from energy conservation and withdrawal to vibrant connection. Gemini wants to chat, ask questions, and even cause a little trouble by being a contrarian. This bold energy is then overcorrected into the sign of Cancer, which presents as highly guarded. The hard shell actually has a gooey center, seeking physical and emotional comforts. After extended time at home (or in deep reflection on the past), the energy is then eager to leap into the spotlight.
The turn to Leo is another dramatic one – literally, Leo energy embodies confidence! Once a caregiver, the zodiacal energy transforms into a scene stealer. After living in a world all about Me, it's essential to pivot to We, which is where Virgo comes in. This sign is service-oriented and perfectionistic, driven to "fix" themselves and others through logic and order. Eventually problem-solving constantly can become exhausting, and it's easy to fall into the trap of passivity to avoid conflict altogether. Here comes Libra's people-pleasing and indecision! As a peacemaker, Libra is slow to choose and yet quick to embrace romance and art. Scorpio energy on the other hand has had enough of the pleasantries and superficialities – it's time for depth and darkness! This sign basks in uncovering truth, seeking power, and thinking strategically. The pursuit of knowledge can't be limited to just the inner world and psyche, but also extended to the outer world and global expansion.
Sagittarius is the explorer archetype; self-sufficient and a life-long student and teacher. Collecting and sharing knowledge soon raises a tension between being ever-expansive or in dire need of boundaries. Capricorn answers that call to establish systems, maintain tradition, and focus energy towards personal ambitions. There's such a thing as too much structure though and that's why Aquarius seeks to completely dismantle and innovate. Humanitarian-minded, this enigmatic and highly intellectual sign wants to see change in society. The hyper-logical Aquarius mindset is overcorrected by Piscean intuition. Emotionally and spiritually tapped in, Pisces can also veer too far into escapism. Therefore, the zodiac cycle starts anew with the energy returning to Aries! Grounding back into the body with a clear mind, there's motivation to tackle the world head-on with the numerous insights that've been gained along the way. From here, the process begins again, but with an up-level from that first, tenth, or hundredth time around the astro wheel...
